Last and Final Smart City List - Round 3




Thirty cities are part of the latest list of smart cities released by the government on Friday, with Srinagar, Simla, Thiruvananthapuram, Bengaluru, Rajkot, Allahabad, Aligarh and Gangtok among the notable mentions.

The number of Indian cities included in the Smart Cities Mission now goes up to 90. As many as 20 cities will now compete for the remaining 10 slots, Union Urban Development Minister shree Venkaiah Naidu said in a tweet.

This brings the number of cities selected under the project to 90, leaving 10 slots remaining in the Smart City Mission. The proposed investment in these 30 cities is Rs 57,393 crore.

The 30 cities include Thiruvananthapuram, Naya Raipur, Rajkot, Amravati, Patna, Shimla, Karimnagar, Muzaffarpur, Puducherry, Gandhinagar, Srinagar, Sagar, Karnal, Satna, Bengaluru,  Dehradun, Tiruppur, Pimpri Chinchwad, Bilaspur, Pasighat, Jammu, Dahod, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Tiruchirapalli, Jhansi, Aizwal, Allahabad, Aligarh and Gangtok.
